North Nab from Strid Wood: Now for those of you that have been following, you’ll know that I’m not too clever at getting up at 6.30am on a Saturday, so when Dave suggested another walk, I must’ve been feeling particularly perky to agree to go along. However this was not the case when the alarm went off and I had to get up.

Walk 17: The Howgills Revisited
Calders, Great Dummacks, Bram Rigg Top, The Calf & Arrant Haw from Sedbergh: All things being equal, we shouldn’t have even been here today, but as anyone who has walked often knows, Mother Nature is nobodies equal. Walk 16: Passing The Buck
Buckden Pike & Birks Fell from Buckden: This was meant to be the penultimate walk but for one reason or another we still had two to do. Walk 15: Off Peak
Yarlside, Randygill Top, The Calf, Bush Howe & Fell Head from Low Haygarth: Finally the day was here. On a couple of occasions on earlier walks we had seen the Howgill Fells from a distance but today was the day we met up close. The sight of them as we approached was inspiring and I couldn’t wait to get started.
