St Ouen’s Bay to St Brelade’s Bay The fourteen miles or so we managed to do yesterday put us in a good position to be able to finish off the full coastal path and with both of us feeling good, there was no reason we couldn’t complete it, even after a big breakfast. The short distance we had left to cover also meant we could start a little later and it was 10am when we pulled into the car park overlooking St Ouen’s Bay.

Bonne Nuit to St Ouen’s Bay Another two days of rest and recuperation left us both feeling eager to continue on our quest to walk around Jersey during our ten day holiday. Today was day eight so we were leaving it late if we wanted to complete the whole thing, but by now we were over half way with 29 of the 48 miles done. St Brelade’s Bay to Gorey: We were finally here at the Golden Sands Hotel, St Brelade’s Bay in Jersey. We had been looking forward to a break for so long and now we had ten whole days to do whatever we chose to recharge the batteries that are worn down with everyday life. After a good sleep the night before we were up nice and early and after taking full advantage of the vast breakfast options we stuck on our walking boots and prepared for a walk.

Just prior to a holiday in Jersey we discovered a book called the Channel Island Way which is a 115 mile route walking around all of the five main Channel Islands. We didn’t have time to channel hop and do it all but we did set out to walk around the largest of them, Jersey. …
