Graham – AKA Sherpa G-String, Captain Slow or Sherbert G-String

The Sherpa has long been the dependable side kick of Sir Edmund. Whenever Sir Edmund is in need you can bet your last piece of Kendal Mint Cake that Sherpa G-String will have something spare to keep his pal going.

A veteran of four pre Badgers Yorkshire three peak walks he is a hardy type who never complains about conditions. He has been found to have legs that foam in wet conditions during our wet walk to Nine Standards Rigg. Those in attendance deduced that he must wear edible underwear which dissolves when in contact with rain.

Sherpa has completed the Yorkshire tops, Herriot Way and another Yorkshire three peaks walk since the Badgers were formed. He has also walked the 63 miles that is the Oxfam Trailtrekker, inside the 30 hour time limit. 2013 saw Graham complete the Gargrave to Leeds canal challenge in just over 12 hours.

Graham’s Yorkshire Tops Questionnaire

1. Favourite Peak. Wild Boar Fell. I loved being stood on the edge looking out across Yorkshire. When you can see out over the vast countryside it makes you feel very small. 2. Least favourite peak I would say that Water Crag was my least favourite. From memory I can’t recall the views being up …
