Cave Hill from Ribblehead: Our first walk in the Yorkshire Dales since November last year coincided with a rare occurrence, so seldom seen, that you have to go back to 29th January 2011 for the last time that I wore anything other than shorts.

Walk 40: Stone Cold Sober

Hoarstone Edge & Alphin Pike from Dovestone Reservoir: Our first walk of 2012 and it was certainly good to get back into the swing of things after the Christmas excess. We arrived at Dovestone Reservoir to find Jane, Lucy and Katie already wrapped up and ready to go, so we hastily jumped out of the car and prepared ourselves.

Win Hill from Hope: It had been decided in late November that we would have a walk over Christmas to blow away a few cobwebs, and try to walk off a bit of turkey before the new year detox, but now the day was here and all I wanted to do was stay in bed.

Walk 38: Head For The Hill

Langerton Hill from Burnsall: Once again we were blessed with good weather as we pulled up next to the village green in Burnsall and stepped out of the car into the early morning sunshine. The thin cloud cover was dispersing and it looked very much like we were in for the nice day forecast.
