Tennant Arms – Kilnsey

Our first walk of 2011 was done and dusted so we popped in to the Tennant Arms for a quick drink to celebrate. The inside was neat and tidy and whilst I had changed, L’Autobus were still in muddy boots.

Not to worry as there was plenty of stone flooring and signs to indicate walkers were ok as long as they stuck to them. We got our drinks and moved through into one of the side rooms where we sat down and ordered some sandwiches.

My Wiltshire ham, Wensleydale and tomato was absolutely gorgeous as were the home made chips. There were a few other walkers coming in for a drink before continuing on their route which gave the pub an nice energy. Unfortunately we left before I had chance to try out the dart board and practice for my local pub comp.

I don’t know if the drinks were reasonably priced as Ramblo did the honours. All in all a very pleasant pub and one I would be more than happy to return to.
