The story of…. Shalini, a First Time three Peaker

As you can imagine, I was cacking my pants (not literally) from the very beginning!

But I managed to not only conquer the first hill…

I smashed all 3 of them in 11hours and 25 minutes! and even though I’m still suffering a little bit from it all, it was well worth it!

The cups of tea Leanne and Beaky’s dad were sorting out for us were lovely and definitely kept us going! I can only thank them also for keeping our spirits up!

There was only one point in my journey where I stopped halfway up Wernside and looked at my boyfriend and started crying (I know! such a girl!) I just thought I couldn’t do it anymore‚Ķ but he took my hand and said ” Everything’s going to be ok, you can do it” and he walked with me all the way to the end.. eventually telling me to pull myself together! lol

I can’t describe to anyone really how I felt when I came to the end, It was an emotional time especially when I saw my dad in the distance, I just gave him a really big hug when I saw him and felt like crying because I was so happy.

It feels like I’ve ticked a little box in my life to say that I’ve done that and I’m glad that I’ve done it…

P.S. I’m not ever doing that again : )
